The article deals with another eTwinning project our school took part last year, but “Songs, Language and Culture” is also mentioned, together with other 2 projects currently going in IES Jaume Callís.

On 6^th of May we went to the airport, on minibus because we aren’t many people. We went with the rest of the class of the program of e-twinning, and when we were in the airport we got the plane which went to Copenhaguen,Denmark.

Then we flew to Denmark and we arrived in Denmark at half past eleven pm. And then we went to take the tickets of the metro to go to the centre of the Copenhagen but we had some problems because the ticket machine was in Danish and there was no one around. We took the train at half past twelve and arrived in the centre Copenhagen at twelve o’clock. We asked a boy on a bike where the hotel was, and he showed us.

Then we stayed one day visiting Copenhagen and two days with Sweden people. We came home on Sunday the 10^th May. We left Lund station with the 11.57 train, crossing the long bridge to Denmark. We took the plane at half past four and we arrived at Catalonia at quarter to seven. We had a good time in Sweden because the people are very nice.

THURSDAY, 7th MAY: COPENHAGUEN

After spending once per week in a project called “Songs, language and culture” we managed to go to Sweden to make an exchange with other guys who were also involved in this project. This trip was from 6^th May to 10^th May, but before going to Sweden we spent one day in Denmark (Copenhagen).

On Thursday we walked around the city and while we were going though “the little mermaid” we saw some sightseeing places from Copenhagen: a stoned tower, Kastellet (a military place), a church and we finally arrived at the must: “The Little Mermaid”, and after that we continued walking and we saw a big fountain with some sculptures. When we came back to the hotel, we took the typical photos that everyone taken when they go there (the river, the harbour, the Queen’s palace…).

In the afternoon we got into the train to go to Lund, Sweden. In the station we met all the Swedish students that were waiting for us.

FIDAY, 8th May: AT THE SWEDISH SCHOOL, COOKING EVENING & STUDENTS’ MUSICAL PERFORMANCE.

Afterwards we went to a Physics class, where the teacher spoke about water. We didn’t understand anything when he spoke in Swedish, but then he managed to speak in English and everything was easier.

Then we visited the school. The Swedish partners showed it to us and explained what they normally did at school. The school is bigger and more beautiful than ours. We visited the gym, the dining room, the playground, the home economics classroom, the corridor, where they could listen to music and dance, and also play some games.

After that we had a P.E. lesson, but we couldn’t do it with the Swedish students, because they had to do a test. We played football instead.

Then we had lunch in the dinning room, where everyone stared at us while we ate with the Swedish people. We were surprised by the fact that the headmaster ate with some students. The food was so different but it was tasty. We liked the Swedish bread with butter on it very much!

Then we split in two groups according to the class which our Swedish partner belonged and went to Social Science lesson. One group had History, where they watched a film about Hitler. The other class had Geography. The students had a test and meanwhile we looked into some Swedish geography. Then we joined the class and studied India and the US.

Afterwards we went to Joppe’s house, where we talked and watched T.V. We also played some games.

Then we had to return to school.

There we split into different groups and we cooked Swedish and Catalan dishes. We enjoyed cooking and eating altogether in the corridor, where all the tables had been placed so nicely.

Then we went to the theatre and some students sang and played some instruments. They played really well and we had a great time listening to them.

Afterwards we returned to Joppe’s house and spend the rest of the evening there.

SATURDAY, 9^th May

We will talk about Saturday 9th of may. We got up and we had a breakfast in our house, then we met in front of the church. Some people went there by bus and others by car. Then we visited the church, and the guides told us about the legend of the church, in there we saw a big clock too.

Next we went to visit Lund, and we went to shopping. We had lunch in McDonalds and we played with the balloons. After that, we continued shopping in Lund. Some people bought a Swedish flag or something typical of Sweden.

Then we went to a forest, and there we had a barbeque with the parents of their families. While the parents were cooking, we were walking around the forest. After that, we had dinner at six o’clock. And when we finished, some of us played typical games of Sweden and Catalonia. The Swedish games are called: “brandball” and an other typical game that we don’t remember the name. The Catalan game is called “el mocador”. The brandball game we played with the parents too.

When we finished we returned in Joppe’s house. And there we played sing star, three of Catalan people had a bath in the Jacuzzi, we bought candy and we ate that. The people signed the Swedish flat of Catalan people. That night we laughed so much, we talked a lot, and we had nice moments with the Swedish people.

We are very happy to stay with them. And they are nice people. We miss them so much. We hope to see them again.
